They are all still there, the old leather-bound books, the winding staircase and the venerable coffered ceiling of the library that once belonged to Foundation Thiers students, as is the muted, typically British atmosphere. But there is something else, something modern.
Laura Gonzalez has preserved the iconic elements of the décor—wood panelling, cosy velvets and time-worn leathers–but has softened the edges with a gentle touch. The bar counter stands out against a background of omnipresent greenery while patterns and prints blend seamlessly into the decor, from thick Iranian-patterned rugs to Indian cashmeres. It is the ideal setting for a quick lunch or a personalised cocktail, shaken to perfection by the master mixologists of the Saint James.
In summer, a second bar is set under the graceful pergola in the garden and cocktails are shaken al fresco!

"Lavande": A subtle nectar with floral notes of lavender, combined with the sweetness of meadowsweet & the herbal intensity of chartreuse.
"Poivron: A spicy mezcal margarita infused with the sweet, fuzzy flavors of bell pepper, enhanced by a hint of tart rasberry & smoked salt.
"Noisette": An old-fashioned revisited with forrest accents, combining the woodiness of hazelnut-infused bourbon with the sweetness of chesnuts.
Every weekend, from 3pm to 5pm, we invite you to enjoy an exclusive Tea Time, conceived by our Pastry Chef Coline Doussin. This gourmet moment offers a refined selection of sweet and savory creations, along with hot beverages. Discover classics revisited with originality and elegance : a Club Sandwich with a jasmine green tea and Williams pear sorbet, a Brioche inspired by Maritozzo, a crispy Saint-Honoré with Madagascar vanilla, toasted and caramelized, or a Pavlova with fresh candied citrus fruit.
