The Musée du Luxembourg highlights Jean-Honoré Fragonard through the prism of love. More than 80 of his libertine and naughty pieces are presented, describing him as one of the most important painters of the 18th century, but also flirtatious, daringly cheeky, accurately depicting the feeling and the impulse of love. Fragonard amoureux, until January 24th.
The Musée d’Art moderne honors the icon of American pop-art Andy Warhol with the exhibition Unlimited. To emphasize on the serial dimension of his work, over 200 pieces, among which Shadows (1978-79), and an ensemble of 102 serigraphied frames, as monumental as they are iconic, have been gathered. Until February 7th.
