The Louis Vuitton Foundation

Conceived as the new high place of contemporary art, the Louis Vuitton Foundation will finally open to the public on October 27th, 2014.

The Foundation will present permanent collections, but also plans to organize temporary exhibitions and to host debates and seminars. A unique new hot spot for contemporary art in Paris.

The Louis Vuitton Foundation, located close to the Saint James Paris, at the edge of the Bois de Boulogne, is surrounded by nature and benefits from the fresh air of the “lung” of the capital. Looking as a real “space ship”, it seems to have just landed between lakes and streams, just off the restaurant La Grande Casccade, in the heart of the most relaxing place of the western part of Paris.

This amazing building has been imagined by Frank Gehry like a boat sailing through the trees of the park, wrapped by twelve glass veils. A big challenge combining tradition and modernity. Creator of the impossible, Frank Gehry has accomplished today’s technological prowess and designed forms that had never been imagined before, juste like the project of Bernard Arnaud, CEO of LVMH : unique, creative, innovative.

Take advantage of your stay at the Saint James Paris to visit the Louis Vuitton Foundation.

8 Avenue du Mahatma Gandhi, 16ème arrondissement de Paris.
