Summer in Paris

Exhibitions

The Jeu de Paume dedicates a retrospective to the German photographer Germaine Krull, highlighting her artistic vision as well as her strong political commitment: while being the muse of the Avant-Garde movement, she worked for La France Libre and had to go into exile in Asia. This new light on her work assembles 130 original printings as well as numerous copies from books and magazines. Until September 27th.

The exhibition L’Inca et le Conquistador at the Musée du Quai Branly leads us through the key moments of the conquest of the Inca empire in the 16th century, when the Inca and Spanish empires fought for the domination of the South-American continent. Two points of view converge: the one of conquistador Francisco Pizarro and the one of the Inca Atahualpa. Until September 20th.
