Monet Collectionneur at the Musée Marmottan Monet immerses us in the artist’s privacy by exposing works from his private collection: paintings, drawings, and sculptures by Delacroix, Corot, Manet, Renoir, Caillebotte, Cézanne, Morisot, Pissarro, Rodin or Signac. The most famous impressionist painter was also his friends’ innermost collector! Until January 14th.

The Maison Européenne de la Photographie presents Obsession Marlène until February 25th. About two hundred photographs by Irving Penn, Richard Avedon and many others, from this imposing collection of the well-known antique dealer and collector Pierre Passebon have been reunited to celebrate this 20th century icon, incredibly modern and timeless.

Musical

The lively melodies of Singin’ in the rain “flood” the stage of the Grand Palais until January 11th. A mythical show directed by Robert Carsen and famous tunes taken up many times for a piece that embodies the golden age of the Hollywood musical.

Restaurants

The Grande Epicerie of Paris Rive Droite has opened its doors with a beautiful setting on 4 floors. On the second floor, under the dome, the restaurant Le Rive Droite supervised by Beatriz Gonzalez (already chef at two Parisian bistrots, Neva and Corette) is offering the famous tender-crisp sweetbreads, beetroots and beaded juice, and many other French specialties with a Mexican touch. From Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 8pm. Open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at dinner upon reservation – 80 rue de Passy, 16th.

 « Comice » by Noam Gedalof and Etheliya Hananova, Chef and sommelier, husband and wife. A chic place in a dark-blue shades decor by Nicolas Kelemen, where the Chef cooks a lovely cuisine: roast guinea fowl, quince, brioche, sage, lemon, chicory in gravy; fillet of veal, pancetta, small ravioli with sweet potato, broccoletti, wild craterellus mushrooms, shallots and gravy; poached lobster in unsalted butter, red onion, parsnip, beetroot and Porto sauce…  A beautiful biodynamic wine list. Lunch menu at 42 Euro, dinner between 80 and 120 Euro. Open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday and for lunch from Thursday to Saturday. 31 Avenue de Versailles, 16th.
