The Experience

The hotel

Every tiny detail of Bambi Sloan’s eccentric yet elegant interior design attracts the eye. Here, classicism, elegance and downright daring live side by side.

In the kitchen, the Chef Adrien Brunet invites you to discover his exquisite creations. The striking former Thiers Foundation library now hosts our head bartender, whose herb-based cocktails are a crowd-favourite. Intellectual exploits and deep conversations still abound there. Your well-being and beauty treatments are in able hands at the Guerlain spa. For relaxation, head for the Saint James’ lush private garden. Whilst alongside the hotel’s 49 rooms and suites, designed to provoke the sweetest of dreams, the building also houses the exclusive Saint James Club.

“The Saint James Paris is much more than an exclusive luxury hotel – it’s an experience. “

THE LOBBY

The Saint James’s majestic neoclassical façade can be deceiving. Step inside, and you’re now surrounded by the elegant madness of Bambi Sloan. Like in a dream, this unimaginable mix of styles turns temporal and spatial markers on their heads. Here, the Second Empire meets virtually every other decorative period, with inspiration coming from everywhere, while its crowning glory, “Chandelier Chaos”, soars 14 metres overhead.

“Spiritual and striking. The stage is set.”

  • 19/07/2019 We loved our experience at the hotel. From the moment that we drove through the gates, we marveled at the architecture and the beauty of the grounds. The interior was lovely. All of the staff members were courteous and willing to assist. We stated several times that we wish we could stay longer. The concierge and bell staff assisted with luggage and made us feel like we were special guests upon arrival and departure.

  • 15/07/2019 American Express Concierge Service helped my husband and me book the St. James for 13 nights. This was a first time trip to Paris (Europe) to celebrate my 50th birthday and receipt of my Doctoral Degree. Entering this beautiful chateau with its fountain was jaw dropping. Then, the greeting and personal tour we received was just a glimpse of what an amazing stay this would be. In our room, champagne, flowers, fruit and a window overlooking gorgeous fountain. Concierge service, food service, cleaning service were all the very best we've encountered. When the bicycles had a problem it was fixed within the hour and we were off and riding. Taxis were ordered and arrived in 5 minutes. We ate in the bar, at the breakfast buffet, and ordered room service. Food was divine and service even better. We were in and out of room at various times of the day; and, the room was always clean. Our St. James Hotel was situated within the Victor Hugo Circle and within walking distance major attractions, the Metro, the RER (train), and some really fabulous cafés we frequented. We will definitely return to Paris and will definitely return to the St. James. Merci.
